Knowing ADFS was out of reach on my Model B, I determined to buy a BBC Master. At this time, Masters were retailing for £400 plus VAT as they were still in production. I was looking at getting a second-hand Master and Computeck were offering a trade-in service for old Beebs.

Of course, their qualifier in the post script may have caused a problem with my American Beeb!

In fact, I never did trade in the Model B. Beebs were selling for about £150-£200 in small ads at the time so I thought I could get more by advertising it. In the event, I can't remember what I did with the Beeb. I think I gave it away to a family member. In more recent years I have asked practically all members of my family if they have any of my old Beebs in the loft but it hasn't come to light so it must have been laid to rest long, long ago.
